Jasmyn Hustito
Biography
Jasmyne Hustito is a Zuni Native American combat veteran, who embraces life with enthusiasm. She is the proud mother of two daughters and shares a loving relationship with her boyfriend. Raised in a large family of seven siblings on a small reservation, she faced numerous challenges during her childhood, including various forms of abuse. Seeking an escape, Jasmyne joined the military at the age of 17, compelling her family to support her decision.
After a decade of dedicated service, Jasmyne emerged feeling broken, having accumulated visible and invisible injuries. Despite the multitude of trauma documented by medical professionals, she struggled to find effective guidance in dealing with Complex PTSD (C-PTSD). With limited knowledge of how C-PTSD affects daily life and drawing on her background as a healthcare specialist (68W), she began her journey of exploration and healing.
Jasmyne’s empathetic nature and sensitivity to PTSD have often left her feeling depleted. Still, she is committed to discovering her newfound freedom and embracing her identity as a mother to her daughters. She honors her roots, which are deeply connected to the legacy of Clifford Mahooty.
